What happens when you put your heart and soul in perfecting dishes and delighting customers for more than 4 decades?
You become LEGENDARY.
The above statement best befits Copper Chimney. Copper Chimney is a pioneer in the Indian Cuisine, consistently serving authentic North Indian dishes since 1972. Every recipe here has been carefully crafted and handed down generation to generation.
Copper Chimney(CC) Restaurant’s Biryani is on my “Top Biryani List” for so long that finally I got down to savour CC’s royal dish, as I was window shopping phoenix market city @ Chennai.
On first notice, it is the rich ambience coupled with a cordial hospitality that strikes you @ CC. Without further ado, I quickly grabbed on to the menu to order one of their best seller biryani dishes, the Murg Boti Dum Biriyani.
After a good wait for around 15 minutes, biryani was finally ready. The looks were striking – a layer of dough covered the biryani tempting it to undress it to reveal the royalty inside. Rich color and the high aroma of biryani soon enveloped the scene.
As I grab the first few spoons with proper mix of the spices, layered saffron rice, those immersed chicken pieces amidst the rice and jeera-pudina raita, it is a completely fulfilling experience of savouring the elegance of the North Indian styled Biryani. The masalas, seasonings, quality of rice, succulent chicken pieces everything was spot on. Though the quantity was good enough for one person, there is an inherent feeling for the taste that leaves you craving for more despite the quantity.
The Murg Boti Biryani is basically a dum cooked one with signature Copper chimney spice blend along with layered saffron rice and succulent chicken pieces. It offered a great depth of flavour and can satisfy any keen biryani connoisseur. Plus, there are a range of other biryanis, side dishes and drinks as well which ought to be tried(SOON). Though price is on the higher side, the biryani along with the other dishes are worth it for indulging in a royal experience.
